Megan and Jairus knew they wanted to get married, they knew they wanted a downtown vibe, but other than that they were clueless on the details of it all. I recommended utilizing C. William Gilchrist Gallery in Cumberland, Maryland. Which is a lovely Federal Style Mansion on Historic Washington Street in Cumberland, Maryland. I met up with Megan getting ready upstairs and enjoying the amazing library and we wandered around the upstairs as guests filled the downstairs. The ceremony was held at 5pm downstairs in the C. William Gilchrist Gallery, which is a rotating art gallery always full of amazing art. The large windows brought in all the light and the chandeliers glittered as Megan and Jairus’s dream day fully formed. I do not think there was a dry eye in the house after the vows were read. Afterwards we did some group photos, sent everyone on their way to dinner at Rocky Gap Casino & Resort. Meanwhile, Megan, Jairus, and myself wandered the exterior of the gallery which is a gorgeous home from the 1800’s on Washington Street in Cumberland, MD. Which is a street full of gorgeous historic houses nestled in the valley of Mountain Maryland. So we enjoyed the gardens and the beauty of Washington Street. Then we went to the close by Historic Downtown area and continued to run into more of their friends as we made our way through downtown capturing their love. Afterwards, I sent them on their way to feast and we called it a very successful day.
The beauty of getting married is it’s what you desire. For Megan and Jairus, they really desired a full couples session vibe with their wedding. So we made it happen and it all worked out beautifully for them.

Courtney and Garrett were inspired for the love of their town and each other for their engagement session and wedding day planning. So we wandered around Downtown Cumberland, MD mid construction and captured some of the old, some of the new, and the evolutions of all in between. Garrett has been working hard to rehabilitate the now Rosenbaum building, so we wandered around the lobby and the roof of that. We drank up a cup of nostalgia over at Coney Island and grabbed a few hot dogs to help fuel our wanderings.

The late fall colors of Heidi and Dan’s wedding day paired with oddly warm weather made for the most stunning and chill day. First they said their vows and sung together in the church where they met. They were both in the choir and Heidi noticed Dan pretty quickly from there. So watching the service take place, seeing friends of mine in attendance, and taking in the overall energy of Christ Lutheran Church in LaVale, MD while knowing their love story made this all feel extra cozy and wonderful. Once the service was done we trekked over to the Cumberland Country Club for their reception in Dan’s old Plymouth which was also a star of the show for the day. It was a lovely a low key affair which perfectly reflected the two of them and their low key energy.

On a sunny afternoon in September of 2019 Courtney and Jeremy tied the knot at the C. William Gilchrist Gallery in Cumberland, Maryland. The day started with Courtney and her bridesmaids getting ready at her parents house down the street. Then we made our way up the hill to get dressed and take some awesome photos at the gallery. The ceremony was held in the back gardens of the C. William Gilchrist Gallery, which is a gorgeous home from the 1800’s on Washington Street in Cumberland, MD. Which is a street full of gorgeous historic houses nestled in the valley of Mountain Maryland. Once the ceremony was done and we made our way through group portraits Courtney’s dad drove the lovely couple to their reception at the Allegany Museum in their neighbor’s vintage Rolls Royce. Once at the museum dancing and food ensued. Black Guy Fawkes played some songs and kept the crowd pleased. All in all it was a lovely early fall wedding day in Western Maryland.
